Why does Ayurveda take a long period of time to show results?

Many myths surround the science, this is one such myth. Ayurveda medicines are very effective and have the potential to work in a single day. However, the condition in which a patient arrives — such as intensity, history of illness,  overall health of individual & associated conditions decides the duration of the treatment and medication. Most people turn to Ayurveda as a last resort and even under such circumstances we have produced wonderful results in a very short period of time.

Are Ayurvedic medicines free of side effects?

Yes, its true that Ayurvedic medicines are free of side effects. Please note that self medication is dangerous, hence always go by Doctor’s advice. Caution is always to be followed as the old saying goes, “Anything in excess is poison”.

Yes it does. In fact, diet is an important aspect of healing, irrespective of the genre of the medicine. It is customised to an individual’s needs.

Can Ayurveda really cure cancer?

It must be remembered that Ayurveda does not claim to ‘cure’ diseases. It restores balance to the body, mind and spirit complex which helps the body fight the diseases. Cancer is a condition where there is Tridosha imbalance at the cellular level. Ayurveda recommends various approaches according to the stage of the disease as well as the overall condition of the patient. We have experts who have dealt with cancer patients at various stages and brought them back to regular routines and are now leading a normal life with basic maintenance protocols.

Can Ayurveda help lose weight?

Yes, and very successfully. Obesity is caused mainly due to an imbalance in the Kapha dosha. A total shift in paradigm is gradually brought about in the living and thinking of the individual. When the recommendations are followed sincerely, one can expect to lose weight.

Do Ayurvedic medicines have negative effects over the Kidneys?

No they do not. To elaborate: Minerals have been a part of Ayurvedic Medication, they are a separate category of medicines. The mineral ores are put through dozen or more procedures after which they form oxides of the same mineral. These oxides are then put to test in International standard laboratories where even 0.0001% variation is sent for reprocessing. And these oxides are added to herbal combination of drugs in not more than 0.01% thus making the Ayurvedic medicines internationally acceptable. However, once again before packaging, these medicines are subject to stringent lab tests. These practices make it highly impossible for the medicine to have any negative effect over the kidneys or any other organs.

Do I have to be a vegetarian to follow an Ayurvedic lifestyle?

No, not at all. Ayurveda recommends foods that are ideal for your body and mind and not as per any ‘ism’. While Ayurveda sings praises of a healthy seasonal vegetarian diet, it similarly prescribes meat of several animals, fish and birds. What is best for you depends on what you can digest and what is best for your body type. Our doctors are well qualified to guide you with the proper plan according to your needs and necessities.

Can one take Ayurveda medicine with Allopathy medicines?

If not indicated otherwise by the attending physician, Ayurveda Medicines can generally be taken along with allopathic medicines. Moreover, Ayurveda Medicines are used as adjuvant to allopathic medicines in most of the chronic and degenerative diseases. Ideally a gap of 15-20 mins is advised.
