Ayurveda has been bestowed upon humanity from times immemorial, through vedas, The journey of ayurveda has been like a flowing river along the ups and down of the pathway through the history of times.
The great stalwarts and the torch bearers have been carrying this down to us through out the history fighting against the various challenges in the path like onslaught from invaders, the destruction of knowledge by burning down the library like Nalanda, Imposition of other systems of medicines, oppressions, misconception and so on.
Vaidyaratnam Ayurveda Marthanda Bheeshagmani Pandit D Gopalacharulu is remembered even today for the outstanding contribution towards this cause.
His street corner meetings in protest against the British, His initiative in bringing all under the roof of Ayurvedic congress, Being the 1st president to preside over the all India Ayurvedic congress back in 1913 of Vaidyas across the countries are notable achievements.
He was conferred the title of “Vaidyaratna” from the then British Viceroy “Lord Charles Hardinge of Penshurst” for his commendable efforts to save lakhs of people from the Black Plague through Ayurveda at a national level.
What could be more apt than recognising all those torch bearers who marched along the same path .
We the lineage of Vaidyaratna Pandit D Gopalacharulu on his 150th birth anniversary have taken up a noble initiative to recognise and honour these generations who have dedicated themselves to serve the science of Ayurveda with “Vamsha Vaidya” award.
Our Legacy
The institution has a legacy of 170 plus years of significant contribution toward preventing and curing human diseases. It was established in the 1850s by Pandit D. Ramakrishnamacharyulu hailing from Machalipatnam in Andhra Pradesh, India. His successor and his elder son Vaidyaratnam Pandit D. Gopalacharyulu gained international recognition for his extraordinary work in Ayurveda and medical care. He further established a manufacturing unit “Ayurvedasramam Pvt Ltd” in 1898 to make Ayurvedic medicines available to people at large. Ayurveda Marthanda Dr D. Desikacharyulu and Dr.D.Gopalacharyulu nurtured, developed and expanded the Institution to great heights. In recent decades, Late Dr D. Desikacharulu & Dr D. Jayashree Desikacharulu have branched out and created many core centres based on the needs of the 21st century. Currently, Dr Jayashree Desikacharulu leads the Institution along with the 6th Generation doctor of the family, her sons, Dr D. Srikrishna & D. Sriranga.

Please record a video by dressing up your kids as an Ayurvedic herb of your choice. He/she introduced themselves as a herb and talks about the benefits, and usage of the herbs, either in form of a speech/song/rhyme

Languages permitted: Hindi/English/ Tamil
Procedure
1. Register for the Fancy Dress Competition form
2. Link will be sent to the mail which was mentioned during registration for the fancy dress competition
3. Uploading their video in our link
4. Once uploaded it would be placed on the Shree Ayurveda FB page and the link will be shared with the parents
5. Trending videos would be invited to present their kids on the day of the event i.e scheduled on February 5th
6. The winners would be awarded titles & a price

We having seen the ups and downs over the passage of time for the last 172 years realize there are many more families who have chosen the science of Ayurveda and siddha to serve the humanity at large and create waves of trust among their geographical zones over time.
This service to the humanity through these systems of medicines has what has kept the science alive and beating which is now taking off to its true glory.
At such a juncture we felt it very much valid to honour and recognise the life’s work of such families and generations.
- All those who have chosen Ayurveda or Siddha as their traditional profession from their ancestors – be it 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th generation and so on
- Whose family- has more the 3 to 4 members into the Ayush System of Healing
- All the areas of expertise under which the vaidya takes up the science as in Clinical Practice, Hospital, Manufacturing, Research etc is acceptable and doesn’t eliminate you from the same.
Once you register you would get a confirmation mail.
- # Our correspondent will reach out to you for procuring the details
- # A subsequent mail for completing the necessary formalities shall follow
- # Once all the data is collected, the same would be put forward to a Elite selection Panel from various walks of science which has been setup for this purpose.
- # A confirmation regarding your selection shall be received by you once the selection process is complete.
- # The awards & certificates shall be given in person at the Award function.
The life story of the Struggle, Success, Achievements, Titles, Aawards and Recognition all shall be highlighted and brought to the knowledge of general public for the ages to come and permanently be etched in the sands of time.
